McGown, Quentin
Biography Note
Quentin McGown graduated from Texas Wesleyan College in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also earned a JD from the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2000. McGown began working for the University in 1990 as Director of Alumni and Constituency Relations, later serving as Director of Gift Planning. When he left the University, circa 2003, he was the University General Counsel. In the mid 1990s, McGown served as a volunteer adviser for the Guardians of the Golden Shears. He was awarded the Golden Shears himself on September 19, 1995, becoming the first alumni recipient of the honor.
