Biography Note

Mrs. Nora Yager was the first person ever awarded the Golden Shears. She designed the emblem for the Golden Shears pin and was one of the fourteen founding members of the Guardian of the Golden Shears. She was a "special student" who attended Wesleyan fora period of time during the 1930s, but did not graduate. She and her husband owned and operated Roy /Yager Cleaners.
