Mary Dillow was the daughter of Samuel Selkirk Dillow and Cornelia Lucas Dillow. Mr. Dillow was the first grocer in the Polytechnic area of Fort Worth, where she grew up. Miss Dillow went on to earn a Diploma in Expression at Texas Woman's College. She graduated in 1917.
