Biography
James Morris Cooper was born on January 16, 1923 in Deport, Texas. After attending the public schools in Richardson, Texas and Jacksboro, Texas, Cooper went to college. He atteneded classes at Weatherford Junior College and East Texas State College before ultimately enolling at Texas Wesleyan College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1943. He then went on to earn of Bachelor of Divinity degree from Perkis School of Theology at SMU ub 1948. On july 5, 1946, he married Ruth Irene Neufeld with whom he fathered three children.
Following college, Cooper entered the ministry, serving in various churches across North Texas. James Cooper died on March 1, 1966 following an illness which lasted several months.
